How to run Jupyter lab

  1. Open a terminal
    • On Windows: Click the start menu, then start typing "Anaconda Prompt" (but without the quotes) and select Anaconda Prompt
    • On Mac, type CMd-space to bring up the search box and start typing "Terminal" (but without the quotes) and select Terminal.
  2. Activate your astro research Python environment by typing this into your terminal: conda activate astro_research
  3. Start jupyter lab by typing this in the terminal: jupyter lab
  4. When you are done
    1. Close the browser tab that lab is running in
    2. Type Ctrl-C twice in the terminal (or just close the terminal)
